1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Brisk Economy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (brisk-economy.com) and our home automation services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services Description

Brisk Economy provides professional home automation services including:

All services are subject to availability and technical feasibility assessments.

3. Service Agreement and Contracts

3.1 Quotations and Proposals

All quotations and proposals are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change based on final site surveys and specific requirements.

3.2 Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed when:

  • You accept our written proposal
  • We receive your signed agreement and required deposit
  • We provide written confirmation of acceptance

3.3 Changes to Services

Any changes to agreed services must be documented in writing and may result in adjusted pricing and timelines.

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices do not include additional costs such as permits, structural modifications, or third-party services unless specifically stated.

4.2 Payment Schedule

Standard payment terms:

  • Deposit: 30% upon contract signing
  • Progress payment: 50% upon commencement of installation
  • Final payment: 20% upon completion and acceptance

4.3 Late Payments

Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower.

5. Installation and Performance

5.1 Site Access

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation site during agreed working hours. We are not responsible for delays caused by access restrictions.

5.2 Installation Standards

All installations will be performed in accordance with:

  • British Standards and relevant industry codes
  • Local building regulations and requirements
  • Manufacturer specifications and guidelines
  • Health and safety regulations

5.3 Testing and Acceptance

Upon completion, we will conduct system testing and provide training. You have 7 days to report any issues with the installation.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1 Installation Warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on our installation workmanship, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

6.2 Equipment Warranties

Equipment warranties are provided by manufacturers and range from 1-5 years depending on the product. We will assist with warranty claims during the warranty period.

6.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from power surges or environmental factors
  • Modifications made by unauthorized parties
  • Software updates or compatibility issues with third-party devices

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • We are not responsible for damages caused by third-party products or services
  • Our liability for property damage is limited to £1,000,000 per incident

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

8. Cancellation and Termination

8.1 Cancellation Rights

For contracts signed at your premises or following unsolicited contact, you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Cancellation fees may apply if work has commenced.

8.2 Termination for Breach

Either party may terminate the contract if the other party materially breaches these Terms and fails to remedy the breach within 14 days of written notice.

8.3 Consequences of Termination

Upon termination, you remain liable for payment of services performed up to the termination date.

9. Intellectual Property

All designs, documentation, and proprietary information remain our intellectual property. You receive a non-exclusive license to use installed systems for their intended purpose.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to such processing.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions
  • Labor disputes or supplier delays
  • Equipment failures or technological issues
  • Transportation or logistics disruptions

12. Website Use

12.1 Acceptable Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. Prohibited activities include:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfering with website functionality or security
  • Uploading malicious content or code
  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations

12.2 Content Accuracy
